Tuairisc.ie has published a gallery of photographs by Seán Ó Mainnín documenting the celebration of 50 years since the making of Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoire, the first fiction film in Irish. Directed by Bob Quinn and produced by Cinegael, the film was made in Conamara in 1975. The anniversary event, organised by Club Scannán Sailearna with support from TG4, took place on 10 July at Seanscoil Sailearna, the original filming location, and was attended by members of the original cast and crew.
